The National Law Journal has recognized the verdict obtained by Tim Tomasik and Pat Giese of Tomasik Kotin Kasserman in the case of Jacobs v. Yellow Cab as the #1 verdict in Illinois for 2015 in its special issue, Big Money Wins. Tim and Pat successfully asserted a claim of apparent agency to hold Yellow Cab responsible for the actions of a driver who caused a wreck that left a passenger seriously injured and brain damaged. The result was a $26 million verdict. The trial also was a special opportunity for Tim to try another case with his mentor and friend, Bob Clifford.
